I hate the new update, I'm colorblind and it's now much harder to see what it says when accounts are in the red while using the dark theme.

I can't even think of what can be added. I've been using it for 5 years already! Best of them all, tried all kinds of apps. Great program, I've been using the PC version for several years already and bought the mobile version not long ago. Wanted to try it for a while - now I'm happy with it, sync via usb and dropbox.

I would give it 5 stars if they follow up on a really annoying shortcoming and that is like most Bookkeeping apps. The ability to enter a negative expense like a refund or health fund payout. Recording it as an income does not reduce the appropriate expense account. Do not understand that the developers do not understand the need for this. Its available in most simple apps. In playstore and believe me, I have tried dozens of them.
I was already using Home Bookkeeping 8 years ago. I entered all data into the computer. I knew and analyzed all my expenses. The program gave me a lot, for which I'm thankful to the developers. Earning money and having it is not the same!

It's easy enough to establish different accounts and start entering transactions--the interface is fairly intuitive--but some of the features make no sense at all. For example, when entering a transaction, users are forced to create a subcategory for each one. Subcategories are a great option to have, but they needn't be mandatory. Even more bizarre and frustrating, users must select a quantity and unit of measurement for each transaction. If you go shopping, Home Bookkeeping Lite will want to know that you bought two pairs of pants. This is idiotic, and as far as we can tell, there's no way to turn it off.
